After taking a creative sabattical, she is now serving a small number of new clients, long distance clients, existing clients, former clients, and select corporate clients. Her schedule is often quite full, but she will happily accommodate you when/if appropriate for her work schedule and your timeframe.

Design and sewing for special needs, garment redesigns/complex alterations, party and formal garments, and appropriate modified copies of existing garments (no exact duplicates). Will accept long distance, consulting, and design prototype projects. Custom formal garments require a deadline of no less than 6 months.
Mimi began her career after studying aparel design at Fashion Institute of Technology, creating costumes as an undergraduate for Washington University's theater productions, and working for a variety of New York City fashion companies. La Nellee Nelly Agron New York (Manhattan and Brooklyn), NY Formal, bridal, children home decor, alterations, jewelry, and teaching Nelly studied French couture at New York's Maison Sapho School of Dressmaking and Design (1986) and Fashion Institute of Technology. She has made costumes for Broadway, and works with private clients. She does remodeling and alterations on garments as as well. She also designs and makes jewelry using semi-precious stones (see website). Also teaches children ages 5-10 to sew. As a theatrical costumer, draper and pattern-maker, Cindy Chock has worked in stage, film and television for over 40 years. Her wide range of experience includes creating one of a kind fashions for The Muppets, dance costumes for The Mark Morris Dance Company, The Joffrey Ballet, and countless Broadway productions. Her pattern-making designs have been featured in the collections of the Simplicity, McCall and Butterick Pattern Companies. A graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology, she began her teaching career in 1987 at The Parson’s School of Design. Since that time she has gone on to teach at every level from Pre-K to college master classes.
